NOT TO BE REPRODUCED By RENE MAGRITTE rene_magritte_not_to_be_reproduced.jpg

The painting shows a man stand in front of the mirror but the weird thing is that the mirror shows the back of the man, besides there also is a book on the table, but the book is normal which is means the direction of the book is right. It’s very interesting I think, linked to the daily life we saw the mirror very day but we never think why we can the front of the face, not the back, so I transferred the front and the back, also up side down. Cause I  think why not wear the back side of the clothes, why we should wear the jacket as the top, we can wear the jacket as the trouser, so I draw a simple sketch to show my idea.

Maze designer, venture capitalist and boyhood genius, Yonatan Frimer was born in 1977, in Israel, to a Scottish mother and American fish-farmer father. He began drawing mazes while bored in elementary school, and skipped 5th and 8th grades as a result of high grades and outstanding scores on standardized exams. Graduating from high school at the age of 16, he began taking classes in photography and art and moved to Boston at age 18 where he earned an associates degree in Liberal Arts before transferring to Harvard University to study Economics. He left Harvard after only one year to pursue a career in finance and worked for some of the largest venture capital funds. He tragically crushed his leg in a 2005 motorcycle accident and was hospitalized for over 3 years, during which time he returned to drawing mazes. Shortly after the liquidity crisis of 2008, he officially left his career in venture capital to focus full time on creating mazes. Frimer currently lives in northern Israel and creates mazes for newspapers, art galleries, and greeting cards.
In my opinion, he combined the maze and the illusion art to make another artwork. It’s very interesting painting, I like the pattern which he designed and also we can play this to have fun.

I used the paper to make a sample which is a maze. Actually I want to use the fabric to make this sample, due to the time so I just used the paper, but i if I will choose this theme as my final theme, I will use coarse twine to make it again and  I quite like the pattern.
